Sharam Fouladgar-Mercer, Co-founder & CEO
Sharam Fouladgar-Mercer is the CEO of AirPR, a company he co-founded in 2011. He was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Shasta Ventures focused on consumer internet and the social graph. Prior to joining Shasta, Sharam was a Senior Associate at Sierra Ventures focused on consumer internet, enterprise software (cloud computing / virtualization), and mobile. He served as a Board Observer at Makara (sold to RedHat) and TouchCommerce. Sharam began his career as a technologist at Appian, a BPM software startup where he managed the first enterprise-wide tracking system for the Department of Homeland Security. Sharam graduated with honors with a BS in Computer Science from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He played NCAA D 1 ice hockey and is fluent in Farsi.
Rajagopal Sathyamurthi, Co-founder & CTO
Rajagopal Sathyamurthi is the Co-founder and CTO of AirPR. Prior to AirPR, Raj was a Technical Director at Dreamworks Animation and a Software Engineer at Zynga. He has designed, implemented and deployed several web applications, and most recently, an iOS app as well. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Mathematics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University with a specialization in Data Visualization and Computer Graphics. While at Stanford, Raj worked as a Research Assistant in the Artificial Intelligence / Robotics Laboratory. As part of this work, he designed and implemented algorithms that simulate local methods for communication in ad-hoc networks.
Patrick Liang, Chief Architect
Patrick Liang is the Chief Architect for AirPR. Most recently, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Zynga focused on backend optimization and infrastructure for large scale text processing and analysis. Other relevant experience and accolades include: creating usage analytics reports for internal project tracking systems at Apple; developing a data API mashup while at Yahoo (for which he also won the grand prize in their internal mobile app contest); and creating a language and encoding detection tool based on n-gram text analysis while working for IAC. Patrick holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology, where he did coursework in learning systems and neural networks and was a teaching assistant for database systems.
Judy Luk-Smit, Vice President of Product
As Vice President of Product, Judy Luk-Smit drives AirPR’s product development strategy and roadmap, ensuring a high-quality user experience across the company’s suite of products. An accomplished product and business unit leader with nearly twenty years of experience, Judy has helped global brands, including Dell, Philips, Roche, and Xerox, build and market new products. Her excellence in driving product vision for cloud-based enterprise SaaS software and track record of fostering cross-departmental collaboration within growing teams bring AirPR what it needs as it scales and advances the PRTech space. Judy has a master’s degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
